Kim is a respected med spa owner, clinical educator, and industry speaker known for making complex concepts practical, approachable, and actionable. With more than a decade of nursing and advanced-practice experience, she brings a unique combination of clinical expertise, business leadership, and real-world experience to every audience she serves.
Kim began her nursing career in 2010 and became a Nurse Practitioner in 2014. In 2019, she founded Horizon Med Spa and Wellness, which has since grown into a multi-million-dollar aesthetic and wellness company with two locations in the Kansas City area.
As an InMode clinical trainer and speaker, Kim trains providers and practices on advanced aesthetic technologies and clinical techniques, including serving as a lead surgical trainer. Her approach is grounded in the realities of practicing medicine in a rapidly evolving aesthetic industry: delivering exceptional patient outcomes while building efficient, sustainable, and successful practices.
Kim has also shared her expertise on the national stage, including speaking for the American Med Spa Association (AmSpa), where she brings her perspective as both a clinician and successful med spa owner.
Whether she is training clinicians, speaking to industry professionals, or leading her own growing practice, Kim is passionate about raising the standard of aesthetic medicine through education, clinical excellence, and thoughtful business leadership.

Why I created Illumine
After building and growing two successful practices and training providers across the country and internationally, I began to see the same gap again and again: providers didn’t need more information. They needed practical guidance on how to confidently put that information into practice.
I created Illumine because I believe providers deserve guidance from someone who has been there, not just someone who can teach the theory. Someone who has built practices from the ground up. Someone who has made mistakes, learned from them, and knows what it takes to navigate them. Someone who understands that clinical excellence and running a successful practice require both knowledge and execution.
